Green Blendz Compost is a dark, stable, garden trimmings-based compost product made with yard debris, food waste and ground wood. We blend and water the organic materials and compost them in an aerated compost bay system that controls temperatures to sanitize and stabilize the compost for over 15 days. The products are cured for another 30 to 60 days and then screened to a nominal ½ inch particle size.
Using Green Blendz Compost
Green Blendz Compost can be used for most plants:
- Use up to 2 inches deep application per year for most garden bed uses, vegetables, flowers, shrubs and trees; either work it into the soil before planting or leave it on the surface as mulch.
- Apply ¼ inch of Garden Blendz to your lawn with a spreader, rake it smooth, which allows the grass blades to pop up.
- For potting soil and planter mixes, blend one part compost to one part peat moss or fine bark and one part sharp sand or on-site topsoil. Green Blendz is WSDOT approved.

ChiCow Compost is a dark, stable, manure-based compost product made with chicken and cow manure and bedding, yard debris, food waste, paper fiber, sawdust and ground wood. We blend and water the organic materials and compost them in an aerated compost bay system that controls temperatures to sanitize and stabilize the compost for over 15 days. The products are cured for another 30 to 60 days and then screened to a nominal ½ inch particle size.
Using ChiCow Compost
ChiCow compost provides many benefits to your soil:
- Use up to ½ inch deep application per year for most garden bed uses; either work it into the soil before planting or leave it on the surface as mulch.
- Apply ¼ inch of ChiCow Compost to your lawn with a spreader, rake it smooth, which allows the grass blades to pop up.
- For agriculture, each crop type has known nutrient requirements, and soil tests should be done prior to planting. We work with WSU Cooperative Extension to get the right amount delivered for your crop. Call for more info.
